About Cybersecurity and Social Sciences Course
Cybersecurity is often seen as a technical field, but it covers various disciplines, some of which can be better understood from a social science perspective. This course explores cybersecurity's social, political, legal, criminological, and economic aspects through a social science framework. Students learn about the human factors contributing to cybersecurity threats and the political and legal measures in place to regulate the behavior of those responsible for creating cybersecurity risks. The course also examines how social scientists approach the study of cybersecurity within fields like psychology, political science, criminology, economics, sociology, international studies, and other related disciplines.
